"A love by the stars was important. Until the right man of the wrong sign put his star on my finger. And I entered his house with my love.
The artist created the painting to be the night ... so it appears a little dark in natural light. Best viewed with a top and key light to bring out the colors. For example if you bring the painting outside on a bright day.. the colors will pop. If you view inside of a dark hallway.. it will look sombre with less detail. Again, it's a nocturne.

Ljubomir Milinkov depicts a fantasy like setting using bold colors, and carefully planned out brushstrokes. The figures and inanimate objects that fill the composition are out of proportion, bi-dimensional, and primitive, cartoonist in terms of style. In fact this painting is iconic of Milinkov's Naif style.
His work was sold by Wally Findlay Galleries in New York and Palm Beach and he has designed silk scarves for Hermes.
Born in Sovac, Serbia, Arrived in France in 1962.
Milinkov enters the world of art. He begins to distill his own style.
Good life and beautiful models on the Place du Tertre in Montmartre fill and inspire him. In 1967 he went on an adventure to the USA. For 6 months in 1968 he crossed America from New York to San Francisco aboard his own Cadillac hearse, bought for this trip. It's the full hippie period, he shaves his head in contrast to all the bearded people around him. Back in New York in 1969, he exhibited at the Woodstock Music & Art Fair with 60 artists, five hundred thousand visitors. Sponsored by the organizers to register for 2 years at the New York School of Fine Arts, he declines this generous offer to preserve his freedom and explore his own fauvist mode of expression. Proud to be a graduate of the Fine Arts Schools of “Nulle part” and “Every where”.
In 1972 he opened his first solo exhibition at the Masseur Museum of Art, Monroe, Louisiana. In 1973 he joined the Wally Findlay International Gallery, with which he worked exclusively for 16 years, exhibiting in New York, Chicago, Palm Beach, Beverly Hills, Paris. He was included in the show "One of a Kind" along with Artists: Camille Bombois, Orville Bulman, Henri Maik, Gustavo Novoa and Annette Ollivary.
His tapestry “Noah's Ark” was purchased by the royal family of Saudi Arabia. In 1974 he returned to France and settled between Cannes and Paris. His collaboration with French design house legend Hermes began in 1982: creation of the first Carré “Jardin Enchanté”, followed in 1998 by Gavroches scarves “La Cavale Joyeuse” and “Les Ailes pleines de Joie” and in 2013 the Carré “Bateau Flowery”. It is the “Enchanted Garden” which will have had the honor in 1983 of being the emblem of Hermès' participation in the 150th anniversary of Central Park in New York, where he will be the guest of honor. Roger Lersy was born in Paris, France 1920, in the rough neighborhood surrounding Place Pigalle. His youth was marked by extreme poverty. Lersy studied art and music at the École des Arts Apppliqués. He was a painter, lithographer and musician-composer He belongs to the École de Paris and was a member in the movement of the Young Painting. By 1946, when he first exhibited in Paris, Lersy became one of the founders of the School of Paris’ New Graphic School. Lersy received the Prix des Amateurs d’Art in 1953, the Shell Prize in 1954 and the Grand Prize of the City of Marseilles in 1953. Lersy could be defined as a Baroque expressionist. For Bernard Dorival, Roger Lersy is along with Gabriel Dauchot, Jean Commère and Raymond Guerrier among "the most noted champions of this expressionism which is part of the continuation of Bernard Buffet's miserabilism".

He later studied at the prestigious École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where he honed his skills and developed a deep appreciation for historical and orientalist subjects.
He was interred at the Père-Lachaise Cemetery. In addition to several museums in France, his works may be seen at the Dahesh Museum of Art and the National Museum of Fine Arts of Algiers, as well as at museums in Switzerland and New York City.
Girardet’s artwork often depicted historical and exotic scenes, particularly focusing on Middle Eastern and North African themes. His meticulous attention to detail and his ability to convey a sense of movement and drama made his works highly sought after. One of his most renowned paintings, “The Charge,” exemplifies his exceptional talent and his ability to create a captivating and immersive experience for viewers.

Ethel Magafan (August 10, 1916 – April 24, 1993) was an American painter and muralist.
Magafan was born in Chicago to Greek parents who had recently immigrated to the U.S. The family soon relocated to Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Magafan's artistic training occurred at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center under the tutelage of Peppino Mangravite, Boardman Robinson and Frank Mechau, who hired Magafan and her twin sister, Jenne, to assist on mural projects. In 1937, aEthel won the commission to paint a mural in the U.S. post office in Auburn, Nebraska, making her the youngest recipient of such a commission. It would be the first of seven government-sponsored commissions for the artist.

Under President Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal, several programs were created to employ Americans during the Great Depression. The Magafan twins worked under the New Deal's Section of Painting and Sculpture, a program that hired thousands of artists to paint murals in public spaces, particularly post offices. Ethel and her twin sister, Jenne Magafan, became widely known for their murals painted during the Great Depression. Ethel received her first of seven Government commissions when she was commissioned to produce a painting for the United States post office in Auburn, Nebraska, titled Threshing.Other murals commissioned by the US Government hang in the United States Senate Chamber, the Social Security Building and the Recorder Deeds Building in Washington, D.C., and in post offices in Wynne, Arkansas, titled Cotton Pickers in 1940; in Madill, Oklahoma, titled Prairie Fire in 1941; and Englewood, Colorado, titled The Horse Corral in 1942.Her final mural, entitled Grant in the Wilderness, was installed in 1979 in the Chancellorsville Visitor Center at the Fredericksburg National Memorial Military Park in Virginia,
She was a member of the National Academy of Design.
Magafan died April 24, 1993, in Woodstock, New York, at the age of 76.
