This artist is a master of the Yohen technique, roughly translated as “alchemy of the kiln,” in which minute variations in closely-guarded glaze recipes and kiln temperatures produce a unique palette of hues and patterns manifested in subtle but awe-inspiring gradations of color. The beautiful gradations that the artist creates are the result of layers of glazes that fuse together in the kiln.
