Working with architect Heidi Hansen, we built this classical house - unexpectedly formal in the forests of Carmel - for a couple that loves classical design and furniture. The interior is highly restrained and elegant, and provides the perfect background for the range of antiques and custom pieces that fill it. With a bold color sense, this house has as much personality as its charming owners.
