Sara Bengur's clients wanted to create a space that would be intimate, ideal for the two of them and their children, as well as elegant enough to entertain in, especially during Miami Basel. They are often in Europe so Sara wanted to bring elements of their lifestyle into the design. She used color in key places incorporating textures and patterns in unexpected ways. Sara custom designed the window treatments, and soft furnishings, as well as most of the rugs, which are her contemporary designs and all made in Turkey. Creating a backdrop for her client's art collection, paying attention to how scale and scope relate in each room was essential to Sara’s approach. She mixed periods in her furniture selection in a cohesive way to add an element of surprise that works well with her client’s rotating collection. The apartment truly reflects their lifestyle and who they are.
