Notting Hill Family House

Family Home by Maddux Creative in London, GB

This Grade II listed terraced house in Notting Hill, London, was designed and built in the mid-1840’s. Many of the interior features, such as the arched openings, the ornate cornices, the cast iron balustrade and stone staircase seen in the entrance hall, are original, and have been preserved and restored. Having worked with these clients on previous refurbishment projects in London and New York, this project was an amalgamation of the many important collectable pieces we had acquired for the previous projects. The palette was deliberately chosen to combat the persistent grey London skies, keeping the walls textured but light, with accents of bright colour in the furniture and furnishings throughout the house. The client’s love of marble was the basis for the creation of a luxurious master bathroom and a striking marble kitchen island. We were fortunate to acquire many special pieces for these clients; a particular favourite is the custom sofa designed by Vladimir Kagan.
