This spacious uptown Manhattan residence has been transformed into a welcoming, contemporary haven. The mostly neutral palette is enhanced by textured walls and current interpretations of classic midcentury modern designs.
An eye-catching entry features a gunmetal console, bold artwork and modern accents. We used a grass cloth wall covering, providing an organic contrast to the industrial bronze table. Attention to detail is shown in the custom wingback chairs in contrasting nubuck and violet pattern fabric and a Sputnik floor lamp with carved details. In the library, a metal aviator desk, leather egg chair, and cowhide rug contribute to the clean, modern look.
