About the Item
19th century Hungarian artist. Possibly, by the Hungarian "Sculptor" Lohr Franz, 1874-1918. Measures: 26"H x 35" W, tempera and watercolor on paper. Overall size is 30" x 39". Signed and dated lower right. "Fresh Flowers" 1894. Studied at the Fine Arts School in Budapest, and at the Fine Arts Academy in Munich. Lohr painted frescos in more than 60 churches : 1. Obuda, 1893, 2. Kecskemet, 1900, 3. Miskolc, 1903, 4. Arad, 1905, 5. Kolozsvar, 1908, 6. Kalocsa Cathedral, Debrecen Greek Orthodox Church, Szekesfehervar Catholoc Church, 1930, 7. Gyongyos, 1936, etc.
