About the Item

Archipelago 38, Acrylic on glass, silver salt print from smartphone, wood and aluminum frame, 19.5x16 cm, 2024 Archipelago is a series of interconnected elements exploring the concept of human perception mediated by technological devices. Each piece begins with a unique landscape photograph, serving as a starting point from which multiple visions unfold. The painted glass is placed as a screen over a gelatin silver print created with smartphone light, obscuring the original image and reshaping it into a new one through the fragments that are still visible. Archipelago is a sculpture, a conceptual structure inviting viewers to explore its depth and composition as a reflection of form and meaning.

Green Spin Pop Art Butterfly Gold Mirror with Diamond Dust / Punk Me Tender #220
By Punk Me Tender
Located in Greenwich, CT
Punk Me Tender (b. 1982) is a French street artist whose brightly colored work explores themes of love, beauty, sensuality, and desire. Born Romain Lefebvre in Paris, France, he immigrated to Los Angeles at the age of 18. There, he was introduced to street art by fellow artist, Mr. Brainwash. The pair worked together creating art for over 15 years. Today, Punk Me Tender’s work melds techniques of street art, graffiti, photography, and fashion. His bold three-dimensional mixed media creations often use a silhouette of a butterfly as his focal point amid explosions of color and texture. Spun art is one of the major techniques the artist employs in the work. On his work he explains “the technique I use is itself a transformation: I lay down colors over white butterflies, and watch them transform.” “The same way a butterfly is born, and how it transforms itself from a chrysalis– my whole body of work is based on that” Inspired by the anonymity of Mr. Brainwash and Banksy, Romain began to work under the pseudonym, Punk Me Tender, a name derived from his great love for the legendary singer Elvis Presley and electronic duo Daft Punk. He has held residencies at the SLS Hotel South Beach, Nobu, Astra, Club MIami, and the Kiss Kiss...

Fly

This photograph was taken in Tulum, Mexico. It was a magical morning, I met a very special person at this secret cenote. We relaxed in the sunlight and then dove underwater, finding this cave like structure. The light beams flooding through the sacred water, I took some photos and created this piece so that the majestic light will always continue to shine. I added a natural coral plant...

We Are The Earth
By Elsa Marie Keefe
Located in Brooklyn, NY
We are the Earth is comprised of a photograph, acrylic paint, found objects in nature (bones, leaves, flowers, stones, crystals) and resin. The base materials for the work consist of a wooden paneled canvas that provides the platform for the adhesion of a rolled photographic canvas, a fine art photography print. The canvas print, in this case a double exposure digital photograph, is adhered to the wood using a clear acrylic varnish. Acrylic Paint is added along with the objects that I found in nature, which are all placed in a careful and meticulous fashion, finally cemented in resin. This specific piece of art was my first large scale piece of its kind, created in my studio in Brooklyn in 2019. This piece was inspired by the colors of my travels, the deserts, trees, mountains and sunsets. The human depicted is myself, it is a self-portrait captured in Great Sand Dunes...
