About the Item

Awaiting Spring 22X30" Mixed Media $450 Acrylic paint, paper collage, ink on watercolor paper Created on a cold winter day, this vibrant mixed media floral piece was inspired by the promise of spring. As snow fell outside, I found myself imagining what I would plant in my garden — an uplifting thought that sparked color, texture, and movement on the canvas. Using layered paint, expressive marks, and floral patterns, I allowed my mind to wander into warmer days filled with blossoms and growth. The act of creating this piece became a form of emotional escape — a way to bring light and energy into the stillness of winter. It’s a reflection of hope, renewal, and the joy found in imagining beauty just beneath the surface.
