A delightful still life of three home-grown sunflowers from artist Nicole Lamothe's garden each in their own vase. Forever capturing the essence of summer, Nicole draws the eye towards the middle as lines on the table runner converge. She painted the flowers in full bloom against a cool-toned background providing the perfect color balance to this cheerful piece.
About the Artist
Artist Nicole Lamothe melds time and the beauty of nature in her nostalgic floral still life compositions. After Nicole's children entered college, she went back to school for her MFA and now devotes much of her time and effort into practicing and perfecting her artistic goals. The bouquets depicted in her paintings come from a variety of sources, including gifts of affection, purchased from her local florist or handpicked in her garden. Each of Nicole's oil paintings first starts out as a drawing. "When I begin a drawing for a painting, the flowers haven't bloomed," shares Nicole. "The flowers will slowly bloom and the final painting is a narrative of growth that takes place over the course of several days." In her free time, Nicole enjoys pottery, embroidery, sewing and tending to her garden. Her artwork has been exhibited in New York, California, Florida, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Artist Sherri Aldawood presents an impressionist still life of vibrant sunflowers and a few pickings of fruit. The subjects bask in the afternoon light, casting elongated shadows on the surface. "I set up and painted this still life in my backyard using flowers from my garden," shares Sherri. The warm color palette exudes the feeling of comfort that comes with these seasonal blooms.
About the Artist
Sherri Aldawood didn't intend to always paint flowers, but over time her love of gardens started to permeate her art. She focuses on the light and color of the flowers on the canvas. Sherri prefers alla prima, working with wet layers of paint instead of letting them dry. She keeps the paint as wet as possible by using walnut and clove oil...

A glowing still life of sunflowers and wildflowers arranged on a rich blue backdrop. Artist Jeff Fleming describes his painting style as kinetic impressionism. Jeff started the piece with a pencil sketch on the canvas, then with gloved hands, he generously applied oil paint using his fingers. Jeff says he created this scene purely from imagination.
About the Artist
Artist Jeff Fleming uses fingerpainting to create exuberant portraits of dogs. Growing up in Southern California, Jeff was first introduced to fingerpainting in kindergarten. He painted through high school and college and won several art awards, including Best of Show in a city wide student competition. After graduating with a degree in journalism and advertising, he went to work as an art director. For the next 40 years, he created print, radio and television ads for a number of top agencies. "After retiring in 2019, the clouds of stress and pressure cleared and allowed me to set my creative energy free," says Jeff. He began developing new techniques focused on the excitement and energy of painting. Today, he uses a variety of methods and tools, including fingerpainting wearing nitrile gloves, traditional paint brushes, bamboo shish kebab sticks, kite string, spraypaint and splattering. While working, Jeff always listens to music, including Broadway musicals, dance music and rhythmic Hawaiian tunes.
