Inspired by his travels with his wife, artist Onelio Marrero paints her enjoying a book. They toured the neighboring towns to visit shops and historic sites during their stay at a charming bed and breakfast. Between these outings, they indulged in quiet moments of reading. His color palette captures the peaceful moment, while the brushstrokes reflect the influence of impressionists such as Monet, Sargent, and Zorn.

Artist Onelio Marrero paints impressionist scenes of everyday life. Whether he captures the romanticism of New York City or the soothing quiet of a rippling pond, he infuses each piece with the visual magic of the moment. He creates a sense of nostalgia and intimacy with his work, offering the feeling that you have visited the same place before. “Each play of light, each texture, and each movement of a figure can have a captivating effect on me,†says Onelio. He studied at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, where he mastered discerning color and values—giving him the tools to create work with superb spontaneous appearance. Onelio’s work is an appreciation for beauty in all its grandest forms; nature, art, and people.
