From my Nocturnes series. I love the way light glows and creates lush deep colors across the land just after the sun sets. I've been working on this painting for two years, patiently building up multiple luminous thin veils of transparent color to bring this painting to its finished point. It will show with a soft glow on a well-lit table with an easel, or framed for your wall.

About the Artist
Sheila spends many hours studying clouds from the cockpit of her sailboat on the California coast. She's frequently blessed with beaming sunrises and storms that create beautiful displays of light streaming across the ocean or shimmering off the nearby coastal mountain range. Sheila's award-winning paintings have been exhibited in museums and galleries throughout the United States and Europe. She has received recognition from the National Arts Appreciation Program, and her work has been exhibited at the prestigious L'Espace Bateau Lavoir in Paris.
