Located in San Antonio, TX
Gary Niblett (Born 1943) New Mexico Artist Image Size: 24 x 36 Frame Size: 38 x 50 Medium: Oil "A Fine Welcome" Nocturnal Western Biography Gary Niblett (Born 1943) Born and raised in Carlsbad, New Mexico and living with his wife, Monika in Santa Fe, Gary Niblett is a painter, primarily with oil, of western scenes especially Navajo and Pueblo Indians, cowboys on horses in landscape, and frontier genre. He has also done paintings from his travels such as Streets of Warsaw and Women of Golondrinas, and during these travels exhibited work in Moscow, Taiwan, Beijing and the Royal Watercolor Society in London. From birth, Niblett grew up with the American West as a part of his daily life. Recognizing his talent, local ranchers paid him to do portraits of his horses. After high school graduation, he attended the Art Center School of Design* in California and then spent eight years in Los Angeles with Hanna-Barbera* animation studios as a background and animation artist. There he met his wife, Monika, and they married in 1970. Deciding to focus on western art, Niblett left commercial art in 1973. He and his wife, Monica, returned to New Mexico where they live in an adobe style home. In New Mexico, he has received much attention for the quality of his painting. In 1990, he was named "Distinguished Calendar Artist" for New Mexico Magazine, and one of his oil paintings is in the collection of the New Mexico state capitol building. Woman, Dog & Spring Flowers Figurative Abstract Painting with Petroglyphs
Located in Soquel, CA
Robert Azensky Fine Art is proud to offer this vintage figurative abstract of a Woman, Dog & Spring Flowers with Petroglyphs by Martha’s Vineyard artist Cindy Kane Absolutely stunning vintage large scale abstract expressionist painting titled "Bending Forward," by San Francisco and now Martha's Vineyard artist Cindy Kane (American, b. 1957). This unique monumental piece, created in 1987, has a netherworld primal quality depicting a petroglyph-like blonde woman and her animal spirit dog bending toward a flower-strewn earth. Additional petroglyph vignettes add mystery to narrative. Signed and dated "Kane '87" upper right. Unframed. Image size: 66.5"H x 84"W. Her early works were influenced by her memories of these hieroglyphs, and embellished with symbols from her dreams. “I hope [that viewers] get what I get from my work, which is enjoyment, visual satisfaction, and a story — whatever their own story is,” she said. “I can’t give them one, but I can tell my own, and the story they take with them is something personal.” Her early work was influenced by the experience of living and working at the bottom of the Grand Canyon National Park, where she had the opportunity to document Anasazi Indian pictographs in pen and ink drawings. These images would inform her work for years to come. While working in Grand Canyon National Park, she became familiar with the Anasazi Indian ruins...

'Landscape with Shepherds and Animals' by Louis - Pierre Verwée ( 1807 – 1877 )
Located in Knokke, BE
Verwée Louis-Pierre Courtrai 1807 – 1877 Brussels Belgian Painter 'Landscape with Shepherds and Animals by the Water' Signature: signed lower right and dated 'L. P. Verwee 1851' Medium: oil on panel Dimensions: image size 43 x 52 cm, frame size 58 x 66 cm Biography: Louis-Pierre Verwee (also spelled Verwée) was born on March 19, 1807, in Kortrijk, Belgium, and died in Brussels in November 1877. He is widely regarded as the leading representative of the Romantic school in Belgian landscape painting, particularly known for his evocative winter scenes and rural landscapes with cattle. Verwee left school at an early age to pursue his passion for art. He enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kortrijk, where he studied under Jan Baptiste de Jonghe, a prominent landscape and animal painter. He later continued his artistic training with Eugène Verboeckhoven in Ghent, who would not only become his mentor but also a lifelong friend and collaborator. The two artists often worked side by side, and Verboeckhoven occasionally painted the figures and animals in Verwee’s landscapes, to such a degree that their early works are sometimes difficult to distinguish. Verwee followed Verboeckhoven to Brussels and established himself as a successful landscape and animal painter. His preferred subjects were winter and summer scenes, typically populated with figures and animals. His style, particularly in his early work, was closely aligned with that of Verboeckhoven. Over time, he became known for landscapes that reflected the romantic tradition, with compositions echoing the work of Andreas Schelfhout, Barend Cornelis Koekkoek, Frans Keelhoff, and Johann Bernard Klombeck. His depictions of forests and rivers often employed a dreamy, atmospheric quality that captured the mood and light of nature. In his later career, Verwee sought artistic innovation but found himself increasingly focused on variations of winter landscapes after 1837. These scenes, popularized by Koekkoek and Schelfhout, were characterized by low-hanging snow clouds, icy waterways, and a cool palette of light blue and metallic grey, creating a moody and intimate ambiance. Occasionally, other artists such as Florent Willems...

American Neo Expressionist Woman with Camels Abstract Modernist Oil Painting
Located in Surfside, FL
Hand signed lower right, titled verso. Blue Woman with Seated Camels MIxed media oil painting on heavy art paper Robert Beauchamp (1923 – March 1995) was an American figurative painter and arts educator. Beauchamp's paintings and drawings are known for depicting dramatic creatures and figures with expressionistic colors. His work was described in the New York Times as being "both frightening and amusing,". He was a Guggenheim Fellow and a student of Hans Hofmann. Robert Beauchamp was born in Denver, Colorado in 1923. He had three brothers and three sisters, and the children were orphaned by both parents by the time Beauchamp was three. The family grew up impoverished due to the Great Depression, living in a community house with other families. As a child he dabbled in art but it wasn't until high school that he began taking art classes. When not creating art he also played sports; football and basketball, and enjoyed chemistry and geology. He was told he was good at drawing, and replaced study hall classes with art classes, receiving instruction and inspiration from a Welsh teacher named R. Idris Thomas. While in high school Beauchamp would go, every Monday, to the public library and a local museum where he would read books about art...

Black Butterfly, Original Painting
Located in San Francisco, CA

Artist Comments
This painting is of a black swallowtail butterfly. The butterfly is painted larger than life to show all of the detail. It has a mystical quality as the butterfly seems to float above the garden with a few stars beginning to appear on a lavender sky.

About the Artist
Kira Yustak paints fantastical scenes that come from her childhood memories, dreams, and the natural world. Each piece feels like part of a larger narrative of an alternative reality, rendered in a style she describes as comic realism. She feels art must trigger something inside the viewer’s soul.Kira currently lives in New Jersey and finds inspiration in the work of Lowbrow, Folk, and Surrealist artists.
