ONIRIX is a project about how we remember and interpret our own dreams. Nine years ago the artist had three dreams in three different nights. He painted these dreams in three parts, each part having three sequences. The results are the nine paintings, every panting representing a scene from the three dreams. Each painting has attached a text written by the artist like in a screenplay.
Scene VII - The Dangers Of The Backyard - FM
The powerful summer sun was casting its bright light on my head and back while I entered the green yard of my grandmother's house. Maybe it was the hot light making everything slightly gray, or maybe I was getting dizzy from the burning star up above, but I walked past the house to get behind it for some unclear reason...
My eyes were looking down at the grass, as I turned towards the side of the house. I immediately froze in horror because there were 3 crunching big tigers with striking orange eyes staring at me, their new target. They seemed ready to devour every single piece of meat on my body.
I made a half step backward, but my heel did not reach the ground before the closest tiger jumped with its claws and teeth forward, reaching menacingly for my head. I fell on my back and time began to move slower. I was feeling hopeless on the grass, when a black panther suddenly jumped from the front-side of the house directly in the tiger’s face, saving me from certain death.
