19th Century portrait of a ginger and white can "Sans Souci", oil on board by Henriette Knipper. Excellent quality and condition study of the cat looking back cynically at the view. Ronner painted another less anthropomorphised version 2 years later. Presented in a gilt swept frame. Signed and dated lower left.
