With this original "Create From Your Heart" Darlene has started by boldly printing the name on the canvas with marker and then proceeded to add gestural marks, lines and bold hues side by side. Some of them are not the colours you might expect to be side by side but she is a bold fearless artist and she paints all of her works with a gentle but vibrant...... unexpected. I love that about her art. There is a feeling that she indeed creates from her heart so it was really only a matter of time that inspiration for the title would become reality. Lines with a purple, black and gold marker along with layer after layer of her graffiti style and love of Kandinsky shapes. Hot pink bouncing off of vibrant orange with splashes of teal, deep green and blue. There is a feeling here also of her love of Mitchell's paintings and her total adventurous and audacious style.
