Andrée Bars
"La Pacha Mama", Ochre Golden Yellow Beige Symboliste Original Oil Painting

About the Item

“La Pacha Mama” is an original oil painting on linen by Andrée Bars. Bathed in warm ochre, golden yellow, and soft beige tones, set against a starless blue background, this intimate composition is both a visual offering and a symbolic homage to Pacha Mama, the revered Earth Mother of Andean cosmology. At its heart, a flower made of dried corn husks gently blooms, cradling an ear of maize — the sacred food and spiritual lifeline of many ancient civilizations. Surrounding the corn are folded paper petals, forming a cocoon-like embrace that evokes both protection and ritual. Embedded within the composition, pre-Columbian gold medallions conjure ancestral wisdom and a timeless reverence for the cycles of life and nourishment. The deep, star-speckled night sky behind them transforms the scene into a cosmic altar — a place where earth and cosmos converge. An emerald origami bird emerges at the edge of the composition, like a silent messenger between worlds — nature and spirit, past and future. “La Pacha Mama” is more than a still life; it is a symbolic meditation on origins, abundance, and the sacred feminine force that sustains all creation. Andrée Bars is a French painter. Having been strictly trained for 4 years by the American hyper-realist painter Mr. Ted Seth Jacobs, who himself inherited 19th century masters’ skills from his own professor, Andrée Bars learned the profession of painting in its purest tradition. She still applies these ancient masters’ technics on her art. Each painting contains at least three layers of oil paint. Andrée Bars applies her skills to hyper-realism on surrealist ideas. Although her paintings copy the reality to the extreme, they can not be qualified in a simple term of hyperrealism nor of trompe-l’oeil style, her artworks distinguish themselves for a kind of mysterious sweetness they convey to the spectator.

"Delirium of Lace", White Lingerie Fabric with Pattern Symboliste Oil Painting
By Andrée Bars
Located in Clermont-Ferrand, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes
Titled "Delirium of Lace," this symboliste oil painting by Andrée Bars presents a delicate still life. The composition centers around intricately arranged white lace lingerie, meticulously pinned with wooden clothespins. The translucent fabric and detailed texture of the lace are masterfully depicted, evoking a sense of lightness and fragility. The background features a soft, floral-patterned drapery that enhances the overall romantic and vintage ambiance of the scene. The artist's use of light and shadow brings depth and realism to the folds of the fabric, creating an almost tactile experience for the viewer. The white soap blocks, upon which the clothespins rest, add a grounding element to the composition, juxtaposing the ethereal quality of the lace with their solid, geometric form. The painting is a harmonious blend of everyday objects and surreal arrangement, inviting the viewer to explore the intricate details and the playful yet serene atmosphere. This work speaks to themes of femininity, domesticity, and the beauty found in the mundane, all rendered with a meticulous and delicate hand. Andrée Bars is a French painter. "Each Has Its Destiny", Snails in Nature Symboliste Oil Painting
By Andrée Bars
Located in Clermont-Ferrand, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes
Titled "Each Has Its Destiny," this charming symbolist oil painting on canvas by Andrée Bars offers a serene and contemplative view of nature's delicate balance. The composition features three snails navigating their way across a barbed wire fence, set against a backdrop of a lush meadow under a clear blue sky. The snails, each with distinctively colored shells – one brown, one dark, and one golden – symbolize individuality and the unique paths each creature takes in life. The barbed wire, often associated with barriers and challenges, contrasts with the gentle and slow movement of the snails, suggesting a journey filled with obstacles yet approached with patience and determination. The bamboo stalks and various wildflowers in the background add a touch of whimsy and natural beauty, emphasizing the coexistence of fragility and resilience in the natural world. The delicate rendering of the leaves and flowers, along with the meticulous depiction of the snails, showcases the artist's attention to detail and mastery of texture. The painting's soft lighting and subtle color palette evoke a sense of calm and introspection, inviting the viewer to reflect on the theme of destiny and the slow but steady progress each individual makes despite life's challenges. "Each Has Its Destiny" is a poignant reminder of perseverance and the unique journey every being undertakes, rendered with elegance and sensitivity. Andrée Bars is a French painter.
