About the Item
Delicate and expressive depiction of a nude couple by Byron Richard Rodarmel (American, 1932-2007). A couple is intertwined on a bed, rendered in a soft palette of peach, yellow, pink, and tan. Notably, their legs are shown in various positions, superimposed upon each other, implying movement and the passage of time.
Signed "byron" in the lower right corner.

Byron held an MFA from Otis Art Institute of Los Angeles, where he studied with Richard Haines, Joseph Mugniani, Renzo Fenci and Pail Landacre. He taught art from 1971 to 1979 in San Diego Community Colleges, the San Diego Academy of Fine Arts and Studio workshops.
