Glodi KASINDI MALUMBE was born in 1992 in Kinshasa, in Democratic Republic of Congo.
He lives and works in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.
The flower is the concept that nourishes the pictorial work of Glodi KASINDI MALUMBE.
The naked body must be painted so that the skin paints the man and the woman.
Under Glodi’s brush, they become flowery beings thanks to goldsmith work.
The body arrives in another ideal to take it out of its cacophonous world. There is a need to take the time to transform it into a better bliss, a marvelous abstraction, crossing the limits of sartorial escapades.
Art is essential to become one with the inner lines of women and men, to explore the mystery of a sensuality rewarding some hidden secrets. In the climax of these lines, the drawing progresses until it reaches a form of surgical experimentation leading towards fulfillment which invites us to contemplate very deeply what goes beyond ordinary skin.
Each painting is a hymn to beauty, to harmony, going beyond the world scarred by a thousand wounds where hope has disappeared, where all dreams are murdered. Glodi colors the heart of despair. Journey of bodies and colors to erase the horror of the world.

The title itself, "ÌLÒRÍ," holds a special meaning, as the artist reveals it is a name given to a child who finds its way into their mother's belly while she is still breastfeeding another child. This unique and touching term encapsulates the interconnectedness of life, illustrating how love and new beginnings can emerge even in the midst of existing responsibilities.
Adebayo's artwork appears to be a reflection of her personal journey and the story of her birth. She shares how her mother affectionately calls her "ÌLÒRÍ" and playfully recounts the amusing moments when she questions her conception. The artist playfully suggests that she jokingly implores her mother to use protection, a humorous remark that adds a light-hearted touch to the piece. The openness and candor with which Adebayo communicates her personal story add authenticity and vulnerability to the artwork, drawing viewers into her emotional world.
The central theme of the artwork revolves around family, particularly the artist's late brother who was just nine months old at the time of her conception. Through her words, "I Miss you bro, and happy Mother's month. Your struggle is noticed," Adebayo honors her sibling's memory and acknowledges the sacrifices her mother made as a parent.
The metaphorical use of the phrase "coconut head" suggests a sense of stubbornness, perhaps referring to the artist's own determination to enter this world despite the odds. This resilient spirit symbolizes the strength of the human will and the innate desire to live, even against all odds. It is a testament to the power of life and the profound connection between siblings, even those who have never met.
"ÌLÒRÍ" is more than just a visual artwork; it is a story of life, love, and the unbreakable ties that bind families together. Janet Adebayo...

Nakedness of Truth
Located in Ibadan, Oyo
Nakedness of Truth is an original painting by Abifola Olorunlana. Olorunlana created Nakedness of Truth with Acrylic on a 36W by 48H inches primed canvas.
Nakedness of Truth was made over a painting Abifola Olorunlana did and didn't like (an underlying painting depicting four figures fetching water from a river and gossiping about someone they didn't like). The Nakedness of Truth is a painting that advocates for people who belong to the LGBTQ community and salutes their unity in making the movement impactful globally.
For years many have stayed reclusive about their true identity due to religious beliefs, societal constructs, and government laws which have left many depressed till their last days, many were even killed for courageously coming out to state their true identity. This is depicted in the painting: dark yellow eyes sticking out of the woods to portray a sense of public rejection, yet my subject boldly stands out of the green woods and leaves to express courage, strength, and power.
