This artwork titled "Farmer Market, Milan" is an oil painting on canvas by noted Italian artist Guido Antonio Man tovani, 1916-1988. It is signed at the lower right cornet by the artist. The canvas size is 19.65 x 27.35 inches, framed size is 24 x 32 inches. Custom framed in a wooden ornate silver frame, with fabric liner. The artwork is in excellent condition, the frame has minor restoration, practically invisible, the fabric liner will be replaced by a new one as the existing one have some discoloration. This will bring the over all condition to excellent
About the artist:
Guido Antonio Mantovani was born in Mantua, Italy in 1916 The work of this impressionist artist established in Lombardy was very Precautious. He was a well-known cityscape and portrait painter (portraits of Pietro Mascagni, Conte Caproni, Maria Pia di Savoia and Konrad Adenauer) and in 1964 he obtained the gold medal at the G. D'Annunzio International Award, The work of Guido Montovani is in collections worldwide. He died in Milan in 1988.
