About the Item
Acrylic on canvas,
There are only about 1000 pandas in the world, which live in China.
They are very well protected.
Under the influence of colorful modern culture, the original traditional culture has lost its original flavor and is gradually fading out of the stage of history, like fallen flowers gone with the wind, which is sad. There are many reasons for the disappearance of traditional culture. I believe that there are many people who love traditional culture like me. As an artist, I hope to awaken people's awareness of protecting traditional culture through my works, like we protect pandas, seriously.
The plum blossom represents traditional culture and is also a typical symbol of my artwork. You can see it in many of my works.
Yuan hua Jia works mainly in oil and acrylic paintings. His works were shown in many big exhibitions of many countries, some are collected by important people and collectors.
Using knife to carve on the surface of paint is his most representative form of creation, and it is also the most significant sign and feature that distinguishes him from other artists.
This form of painting is extremely difficult. First, the canvas is soft and elastic. So the hand needs to be very steady. Secondly, affected by temperature and humidity, the paint surface will dry within 24-72 hours. Therefore, the carving must be completed accurately within a limited time. Each line will determine the progress and detail of the entire painting. Once the paint starts to dry on the surface, you can't continue but throw it away and start over. The larger the picture size and the more complex the content that needs to be engraved, the greater the risk of failure and the more canvases will be thrown away. There was once a 100x80cm work that failed more than a dozen times and took a year and a half to finally be completed.
In addition to this art form, he also creates works in other artistic styles. Each artistic style of work reflects his unique perspective and ideas. Each work has its own story, which is his insights into his careful observation and experience of life.
Jia Yuan-Yua is a Chinese artist born in 1980 who lives and works in Beijing, China. Jia works mainly with oil and acrylic in his painting. His contemporary artworks focus on social issues such as the protection of historical buildings, the inheritance of traditional culture, the conflict between tradition and contemporary times, education reform and the sustainable development of the natural ecological environment. There are two main forms of expression in his works. One is a common realistic technique known for paintings. The other is to use an oil painting knife for carving on the surface of the oil onto the canvas but the artist also creates lines in his artworks to express the outline of objects either existed or vanished.

Pandas are regarded as national treasures in China, and there are only about 1000 in the world, which live in China.
They are very well protected. With the progress of society and technology, uncounted historical sites were destroyed and few left. The tower we see in the artwork is based on the Xizhimen Gate. The city gate was demolished in 1969 and replaced by a viaduct. In fact, there were many many different types of old gates around Old Beijing, but 99% has vanished. They need special protection as we protect pandas. The tower use knife...

A person's life is full of excitement, anger, sadness, joy, separation, and convergence. Some people win, some lose, some are famous, some are unknown, some gain fame and fortune, some are full of pride, some are depressed and unhappy. Only by letting go of obsessions can we live happily and easily. If you want, close your eyes and sit quietly for a few hours, you will find another true self, understand what you really need, why you live, and how to live more meaningfully.
