Marina Grigoryan (Armenian/Russian/Israeli) was born in 1963 in Dushanbe, Russia.
Grigoryan attended art school from 1974 to 1978 before enrolling at the Art Academy in 1978 to study easel painting under the guidance of Professor Nogmat Khakimov, and Lyubov Kuzina, senior lecturer in the Drawing and Composition Department.
Upon her graduation in 1982, Grigoryan began her career as an artist by embarking on an ambitious ten year period of nearly non-stop participation in group and individual shows where she continued to honer her unique artistic talents. Her exposure to variety of experiences and people culminated in a desire to experience a complete “life makeover“, which she realized by immigrating to Israel in 1994.
Grigoriyan’s paintings practically glow with an infusion of light and an amazing use of color that blend together to create an ambiance of almost fairy-like magic. "Soothing“, "exciting“, "mysterious“, "vibrant“, and "alive“ are just some of the words that have been used to describe the artist’s work.
Today, Grigoryan has added sculpture and ceramics to her reproitare and continues to perform as a professional artist and has seen her work exhibited in Israel, America and Europe.

His first exhibition, which was very successful, took place in Casablanca in 1961 and earned him an appointment as Professor at the Beaux-Arts school in Casablanca. Years later, in 1976, he exhibited his paintings at the Tel-Aviv Museum.
In parallel to his career as a painter, Elbaz is also known as a filmmaker. He produced several short films in France, Canada and the United States. One of them, La nuit n'est jamais complète (The night is never complete), won a prize at the "5th Biennale de Paris in 1967". Among the themes chosen for the many films he produced, there was a short one about the Warsaw Ghetto uprising, as well as a series of drawings entitled Seuls (Alone), with texts written by both Elie Wiesel...

Cityscape, Acrylic on Canvas, Contemporary Indian Artist "In Stock"
By Fawad Tamakanat
Located in Kolkata, West Bengal
Fawad Tamakanat - Cityscape - 40 x 40 inches (unframed size)
Acrylic on Canvas.
Fawad Tamkanat, from Hyderabad participated with his slightly older works. One in which he is exploring the raging intrusion of technology in today's times. How digital images are influencing images, imagery and the traditional medium of painting. Portraying everyday activities like the work titled ‘Cafe House’ or exploring more serious concerns in his painting ‘Soldier’.
Style : To say that Fawad Tamkanat`s work is narrative is a gross understatement. Throughout his career as an artist, he has strived to develop and then perfect a visual vocabulary that he can use to communicate with his viewers. And this language, that he uses to take on peoples` minds, has nothing to do with society, religion or politics, but, quite blatantly, is all about his own personal fixations. Fixations that include those with time, and one`s place in the general scheme of things. Fawad was born in Hyderabad in 1962, to a family that already had artistic inclinations running through its veins. His father was the famous Urdu poet, Shaz Tamkanat.
Early in his career, Fawad was invited to participate in an installation workshop in Denmark where he also worked for a few months in the printmaking studios with renowned printmakers. He became very taken up with printmaking, and launched his professional exhibitions showing only monochromatic prints. Now Tamkanat experiments with several different media and surfaces, diversifying to include those like watercolours, acrylic, etching drypoint and tarpaulin in his oeuvre. Fawad has held twelve solo shows in India and abroad to his credit, and has participated in state, national and international exhibitions and group shows at major art centres.
