Radu Rodideal is interested in the atmosphere of his work. Human behavior is studied through a fine self-analysis, the image suggesting introspection in the human psyche often stirred by questions about individual relationships with others. "Acquiescence" is part of an extensive cycle of works from 2012 titled "Counterpart Condition".
About this cycle the artist noted: "My approach proposes a comment on the couple in their contemporary sense, an analysis of the stereotypes, tensions and dissensions that arise from a male-female dialogue in perpetual pendulum around a central axis of balance."

Radu Rodideal
Radu Rodideal was born in 1986 in Bucharest, Romania. He is one of the leading young artists from Romania with exhibitions in Austria, Germany, and Romania. He graduated in 2010 at the University of Arts in Bucharest, painting department and in 2014 the University of Music, piano department. In his paintings the artist discusses the allusive eroticism hidden in the most ordinary actions, places or objects, sometimes revealing the emotional burden they carry on their own. His artworks can be found in private collections from Germany, Romania, France, Italy, Belgium, USA. He is represented by Anaid Art Gallery Berlin, since 2018.
