About the Item
This painting symbolizes the moment when it’s time to reap the rewards of one’s efforts, inner growth, and spiritual development. The figure on the canvas, with her deep calm and harmony, embodies a woman who has walked a long path to understanding herself and her place in the world. She holds the fruits in her hands, symbolizing the results of her efforts, intentions, or desires.
The time to harvest is a period of enjoyment, a time to pause and appreciate all that has been accomplished. It is a moment when the internal resources invested in development finally bear visible results. The vibrant color represents the fire within each of us, a flame that burns when an idea or a goal lives inside us, like fuel that propels us forward. This work reminds us of the importance of not only working hard but also learning to enjoy the fruits of our achievements.
In the context of feminine wisdom, the painting touches on the theme of self-acceptance and self-devotion, which grant vitality and the fruits of this process. It invites us to remain in harmony with ourselves and the world, allowing the fruits that have grown within to blossom, bringing joy and fulfillment.
THE PRIMAL MOTHER SERIES
"The Primal Mother" is an archetypal figure embodying the source of life, protection, and strength. She symbolizes the feminine energy passed down through generations, maintaining the connection between the past, present, and future. In her form, one can feel the wisdom accumulated over millennia and the deep connection to the earth, ancestry, and cosmos. She is both mother and protector, who gives life and guides with her inner light.
Ukrainian artist Svitlana Lazoriak was born in 1984 in Ukraine. Early in her creative journey, she obtained a higher art education in University
and developed a career as a jewelry designer. For fourteen years,
Svitlana has been designing jewelry collections
Today, Svitlana focuses on painting, where she explores states that
allow for conscious living, self-discovery, and transformation. She
currently resides in Belgium. ARTIST STATEMENT As an artist, she explores the states women experience on their journey
to wholeness and deep self-awareness. Do spirituality and sexuality
conflict? Does a woman feel her feminine power and her connection
with generations? What does true self-love look like if we redefine our
essence without limiting it to the role of a sexual icon?
These questions allow for a deep dive into one’s nature, exploring it
through the lenses of the body, will, and worldview. Art is a unique
opportunity to create a space for reflection and transformation.
Svitlana draws strength and inspiration from the works of Frida Kahlo
and finds sacredness and rich traditions in the art of Ukrainian artist
Maria Prymachenko.
