Toubon Guy, born in Marseille in 1931. Painter, draftsman, printmaker, filing cabinet (tapestries) sculptor in his spare time. Permanently exposed to Mougins, Houston and other cities in the U.S. (Boston, San Francisco, New York, Carmel) for 20 years, and Sausset les Pins, near Marseille. His retrospective at the Espace Villeneuve Bargemon Marseille 80 iconic paintings of his work continued at Paris, rue de Seine. In 2009, following his meeting with the Chinese painter ZHOU Shichao, passionate like him by the same lights, seaside towns, their chromatic flicker was born a friendly dynamics. It is in this perspective that is the Franco-Chinese exchange between the two painters whose originality and writing together, between dream and reality. The dream pictorial Toubon, served by a safe technique, resulting in a rare poetic pleasure, that of a "expressionist South" facing the Chinese became enamored of Marseille. (GM)
