About the Item
Laundry and shopping day. A woman enters the scene, looking intently ahead. She wears a white blouse, black skirt and black hat. It appears to have been a colorful day for and the clothes have been exhibited for the world to see. Dresses, mostly kiss the wall and we can imagine they quickly bake against the hot concrete. This piece evokes a return to a quieter pace. And the clothes give us a hint of the life in the abode behind the wall. Turquoise highlights this painting, which softens the gray concrete. A few pants make their way into this otherwise feminine composition.
Brief description: Acrylic printing, depicting laundry drying on a line, along a concrete wall. A woman walks by and is set against a backdrop of mostly wine at clothing. A sack lays on the ground, perhaps filled with clothing, and perhaps wood next to the sack. Colors vary and include turquoise, pink, gray, pink, blue, brown.
