About the Item
On my way home from a trip to the Schnakenpohl, I crossed a bridge in Varlheide that leads over the River Große Aue and I noticed the Weir surrounded by a colorful landscape. The landscape was bathed in a glorious blue sky. It was midday and just too hot to paint, so I took some photos and went back to my Studio. Using the Photos as reference and my memory, i tried to capture the scene in this painting.
