This oil painting transforms a restaurant's holiday ceiling decoration into something realistic and surreal. It captures the memory of a special evening while portraying a scene that defies immediate understanding. At its heart, it reflects a love for clouds, snowflakes, the moon, and Victorian photographs, wherever they may appear.
About the Artist
Hadley’s subject matter is inspired by her San Francisco surroundings, particularly the city at night. Her glowing depictions of light sources are reminiscent of a blurred photograph or a bleary-eyed nighttime stroll. Hadley developed her love for art from her mother, a watercolorist, and continued to pursue her artistic career at a collegiate level and beyond. She now works out of a small studio in San Francisco’s Mission District. Hadley goes into her studio seven days a week with her Boston terrier puppy.

Artist Guigen Zha presents elements of Chinese cultural relics set upon a surrealist beach. A Tang Sancai, a type of pottery from the Tang Dynasty, sits prominently with its gilded handles.
