Born 16 May 1877 in Speyer ; Died 20 December 1966 in Stuttgart
From 1882 he lived and worked in Stuttgart where he was student at the school of art and design. He was taught by Karl Schickardt. He became a professional painter in 1923 teaching at the school of Wiesbaden. From 1922, he undertook to study draw and paint in situ dozens of views of interiors of castels ans churches in different german sites. He specialized in painting minutely accurate reproductions of baroque and rococo inside.

A very fine and Large Italian 18th-19th century oval-shaped oil on canvas titled "The Triumph of Venice" After the original work by Paolo Veronese (Venice, 1528-1588). The original of this painting hangs in the Palazzo Ducale, Venice. The 'Ricci' coloration suggests a late 17th-early 18th century date. In 1715 Charles de la Fosse advised Ricci to paint only "Veroneses and no more Riccis", Venice, circa 1800.
