This is a wonderful modern take of an iconic Vincent Van Goth interior painting "Bedroom in Arles" (French: La Chambre à Arles; Dutch: Slaapkamer te Arles) by artist Linda Van Tassell (American, 20th Century), 1972. The painting using vibrant hues depicts van Gogh's bedroom at 2, Place Lamartine in Arles, Bouches-du-Rhône, France.
Signed and dated: Lower right edge "L. Van Tassel '72"

Condition: Good, unfinished 2nd painting on reverse of canvas. New stretcher bars.

Linda Van Tassell received her Bachelor of Science at Skidmore College in New York and her Masters in Art and Education from Syracuse University in New York. Ever looking to expand her skills and knowledge of various mediums, Linda has continued her studies at universities in both Florida and Maine. After many years submerged in and as a strong, leading figure in the Florida art scene, Linda moved back to Maine where she continues to pursue the arts alongside her husband, Jan.
