A bean sprout is hereby portrayed with striking contrast, depicted as a massive, but light in coloring presence, in which the majority of the canvas is occupied with its hulking stems and oversized leaves. The bean, on the other hand, is small and sullen, sitting at the base of the sprout with a downcast expression. The texture seal technique has been used to create areas of both positive and negative spatiality.
