About the Item

Poetry of the Earth is an original beautiful and very large contemporary painting full of color and movement. Please measure your wall space before placing an order, as this 125x 280cm painting requires a good sized wall. Katharina Husslein has started a new body of work looking at rainforests and jungles. These beautiful parts of nature are currently under threat worldwide. Yet they are not only mesmerizing because of the many animals and rare plants, that reside in them, but they are vital for the very air we breathe. Politically and economically the world is discussing global warming and our impact on nature. The Amazon, Africa and big parts of Australia are burning and need protection as never before. Her paintings are portraying these parts of nature that are so vital for our own survival as well as in the fight against global warming. Portraying their exotic importance, her canvases are colourful works of art that are full of vibrancy and energy. Colour is a main focus point in her work. Creating bold pieces, with bright happy colours is a main theme. Turquoise, yellow, pink and blue are combined often to create energetic pieces full of life and energy. About the Gallery: Folly and Muse was established in 2015 in London to find and collaborate with the most creative, talented, emerging and mid-career artists from all around the world. Zugleich 7- by Skadi Engeln Contemporary Abstract Painting
Located in DE
Skadi Engeln, a Berlin- and France-based artist, studied sculpture at FH Ottersberg with Robert van de Laar and painting with Michael Kohr and Hermanus Westendorp. Her work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group shows in cities like Berlin, Düsseldorf, Paris, New York, and more, and is part of international collections. Engeln explores landscape as a dynamic, ever-changing entity dissolving into light, water, and weather, only to reassemble itself. Like painting, landscapes blur the line between the visible and the hidden, revealing deeper truths in their transitions. The horizon plays a central role in her work, both separating and connecting what lies above and below, the seen and the concealed. Rather than decoding these layers, she preserves their mystery and beauty. Since 2001, she has focused on abstract landscape painting. Her recent works depict landscapes veiled by lines, stripes, and distortions, creating a sense of distance, like reflections in a train window...
