I was inspired to paint this white water lily that quietly glowed from a shady, dark spot in a pond. This painting is made in oil on a gallery wrapped linen canvas. The 1 1/2 inch edges are hand painted to coordinate with the front. It is wired with finger friendly wire and ready to install, and includes an official certificate of authenticity. Katherine Kean’s paintings seek moments of breath-taking transition in nature; a gathering of clouds or changing tides; times when the elements of the landscape combine with the alchemy of imagination to illuminate the world of heightened mood and sensation.
