About the Item

This is a pastel done on archival pastel sand paper. With this pastel, I did an underpainting using watercolor and then applied pastel over it. I enjoyed painting this snow scene. This is a pastel. I do not use a fixative as it will darken and lose colors if fixative is sprayed on it. Pastels are PURE pigment and will last centuries if properly cared for. They need to be framed under glass. I prefer using spacers and museum or non-reflective glass (no matting is necessary if framed this way). Note: Each monitor is different.
