About the Item
Vertical composition made in oil on linen canvas in the modern style (naiv). Diversity and bright colors with a predominance of light pink, green and orange. Made in several layers with high quality drying of each layer. The work is covered with glossy varnish, signed on both sides and ready for hanging. Does not require registration in the frame. Ideal for classic, minimalist, loft, modern and eclectic interiors.
"Destino" is a Spanish word that has several meanings. On the one hand, it means use or function that is given or is intended to be given to a thing. On the other hand, this is a place where someone or something is headed.
In the work the painter has used both meanings to broaden the perception of the painting. "Destination" is a metaphor and at the same time a store, a space where you can choose the path of life, and this choice defines what the curve of this life path would be.

Olga Afanasiadi was born in 1988 in Russia. For over 6 years now, I have been imbibing Spanish-speaking culture and this greatly influences my creative expression. My art is at the intersection of primitivism, street art and verbal symbols. I myself define my works as a play of visual and verbal symbols, and I use them in order to convey to the viewer the sensations and atmosphere of everyday life, permeated with the culture of Spain and sometimes Latin America. I consider my other works as reflections on the theme of "metaphysics of being." They are about how to stop and feel the magic of the moment. Sometimes I use repeating symbols, but each time they discover a new meaning or complement some new statement. I like the idea of drawing my inspiration from the streets of Barcelona - this is an amazing city, “la ciudad de las maravillas”; it has a unique energy, creativity, freedom and a lot of what I try to convey in my works.
