About the Item
We live in a world that moves fast and praises louder. A world that expects you to hit all the right milestones by a certain age, as if life were some kind of checklist. Graduated at 22. Land the dream job by 25. Be in love, married, successful, admired, fulfilled, all before 30. And if you're not? The world gets quiet. The comparison gets loud.
And the pressure? It's suffocating. And then doubts set in, and you aren't good enough
But here's the truth that no one's shouting from the rooftops: your worth has nothing to do with how fast you get there, or if you even get "there" at all. You were never meant to be measured by timelines or titles. Not by your relationship status. Not by your job.
Not by what you've done or haven't done yet. You are not behind.
You are not late. You are living your life, not someone else's script.
Your value isn't earned through performance. It's not found in external validation. It doesn't increase when you succeed or decrease when you stumble. Take the pressure off. Unfollow the race. Stop waiting for the world to tell you you're enough. You already are. Not because of what you've achieved, but because of who you are when all of that is stripped away. Your worth lives in your heart. In your resilience. In your presence. In your ability to love, feel, try, and begin again. You don't have to prove you matter.
You already do.

Artist Statement
In the depths of our being, we often encounter feelings that are too profound to articulate—emotions that swirl like shadows, whispering secrets that linger just beyond the edges of understanding. My work seeks to embrace these complex feelings, giving them a canvas to breathe, shift, and resonate. My paintings generally explore the psycho-emotional aspect of everyday life. As the mind exists without form, the body acts as a window into the mind.
I tried to focus on the not-so-obvious feelings. I want to tell truths that you can see only if you care to look inward and pay attention to the details. The cyclical motifs and fading gradients in my works convey the endless flow of time, where individual lives are fleeting moments in a greater continuum. Life doesn’t wait for you to be alright; it just keeps going like an endless circle.
Each piece I create reflects my journey through the labyrinth of human experience. I explore the beauty and turmoil of emotions that can feel isolating yet are universally shared. With paint, textures, and colours, I invite viewers to confront their depths and recognize that the feelings they carry are valid and significant.
I hope that when you stand before my work, you find a connection that transcends words—a reminder that you are not alone in your struggles and triumphs. These pieces are a testament to resilience, a visual embrace that assures us all that we will be fine in the end. Together, let us navigate the intricacies of our emotions and celebrate the profound strength that comes from vulnerability.

Olumide Ajayi infuses a shade of blue colour into his painting because it reduces the stress he feels from living in his head and the raging conversations that go on in his head all the time.
