Rebecca Venn's (US based) "Untitled" is an original, handmade oil painting on canvas paper that depicts a nude female model laying on her back.
This painting measures at 13 x 10in., framed in a white mat with a beveled black frame which measures at 18.50 x 21.50in, ready to hang.
This is a secondary market work with one previous owner.
Early in her studies, Rebecca Venn concluded that the human figure was her primary interest. As her undergraduate education offered little in this area, she undertook a long period of self-directed study in figurative drawing and painting. That personal history of experience found in the human form fascinates her. The way light defines strength, fragility, beauty and resilience is a never ending challenge and passion.
She discovers something new each time through the gritty marks of graphite or charcoal, the delicacy of colored pencil, the flow of watercolor; and sometimes the deliberate pace of oil painting.
