About the Item
The young male subject in Richard Gibbons' work simply entitled "Youth", is that of a curious young man with his head tilted. Dressed in clothing similar to that of the Renaissance, along with the hazy landscape in the background, this painting has the feel of portraiture from a much earlier time. Yet the subject, with his modern hair style and facial features, undoubtedly makes this piece contemporary. The painting is framed in a substantial wooden frame with a gold accent measuring 20.25 x 16.25 inches.
