Oil on Canvas "The girl in the Red Dress" by W Frank Calderon, RA (no58) Exhibit 1911. Calderon was influenced by the "Art Nouveau"period, this painting shows his beautiful detailed execution, with the art nouveau feel. Calderon was one of Alfred Munning's teachers, this can clearly be seen by the superbly painted horse.

William Frank Calderon aka W. Frank Calderon (1865 – 21 April 1943), was a British painter of portraits, landscapes, figure subjects and sporting pictures.
Started the School of Animal Painting at Baker Street, London 1895; Principal until 1916. Students were Cecil Aldin, Lionel Edwards, Alfred Munning's, & Lady Helena Gelichen.
Exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1881–1921
