Signed lower right, "Van Winkle" for Chris Van Winkle (American, 20th century) and painted circa 1985.
Van Winkle studied with Robert E. Wood and Milford Zornes at Pasadena's Art Center College of Design. He has exhibited widely and with success and has served as president of the National Watercolor Society.
