Keimpe van der Kooi
Daffodils- 21st Century Contemporary Dutch Flower Still-life Painting

2021

About the Item

Keimpe van der Kooi Daffodils 70 x 22 cm Framed: 75x 27cm ( This frame is included) Oil on wood panel This Painting is made by Dutch Artist Keimpe van der Kooi. He likes to paint still-lifes in colorful ambiance, from real- life. In his still-life paintings there always will be cloths, bowls, flowers and a beautiful sunlight. Keimpe van der Kooi about his life as a painter: “Making people happy and happy with my work, I think that's what I like the most”. Keimpe van der Kooi's colorful oil paintings have become an integral part of the contemporary art landscape. Since graduating from the Classical Academy of Groningen in 2010, Keimpe van der Kooi's most famous subject consists of colorful still lifes. In addition, he also knows how to find his way in the landscape and regularly paints models. Each painting is a refined composition of bright or greyed, cool and warm, contrasting and mutually reinforcing colours, in dark and light tones. Shiny pots, shiny bowls, colorful and dull rugs, fresh flowers and sparkling sunlight, spring and a beautiful day outside, a figure or landscape in the radiant sun. Everything arranged 'as if in a coincidental composition', the artist offers the viewers above all 'a spectacle of light, colour, contrast and relationships'. To be able to do this as strongly as possible, Keimpe van der Kooi works 'after life'. This means that he has the still life in front of him while sitting at his easel. Illuminated by a window with light from outside, or the model 'posing in the light', the landscape as it presents itself where the donkey is placed. The artist about this: “When a still life, model or landscape can actually be seen in front of me, only then do I see all the colours, really.” if you would like to have some additional information about the artist or about this painting in particular, feel free to ask us. We will be happy to inform you. On the last picture we show you the way we will crate the painting for international shipping. Our shipping, worldwide is for free.

"Romantical" (2022) by Carrie Goller, Oil & Cold Wax Painting, Hummingbird
Located in Denver, CO
Carrie Goller's (US based) "Romantical" is an original, handmade oil painting that depicts a hummingbird hovering above white orchids. This piece is unframed yet ready to hang. Born and raised on Washington’s tiny Bainbridge Island, artist Carrie Goller recalls being advised as a child to pursue a career in fine art. After an early career as a paralegal, a life-changing experience led her to become a serious and dedicated artist. Once I finally indulged my need to create art, the door was opened and I haven’t looked back. I’ve been making up for lost time; a bit obsessed. Art is now a necessity for me. I find true expression and balance in that world, says Goller. Goller is inspired by simple, sensuous organic forms and the realm of colors, shapes and textures found in nature. Her thoughtful approach to subject matter can be evidenced from her tender still life work, along with a passion for rendering impressionist oils of daily life. From her Bainbridge Island and Hood Canal...
