At that time, in the New York City school system, a talented student could be tracked for art right through high school. Shawn majored in Painting in college, both undergraduate and graduate. He then went on to have a successful career as a magnet arts high school art educator and a professional artist. Now retired from teaching, Shawn is living the dream of being a full-time professional artist. His imaginative and realistic still life paintings are shown in galleries around the country. He is a member of the prestigious Salmagundi club, where his work can be found in most of their juried exhibits. Shawn was recently chosen to be a Fine Art Studio Online’s BoldBrush Sponsored artist.
