About the Item
Unique painting depicting a Mediterranean seascape. The two fishing boats in the center of the composition stand out. In the far distance, a village with a small harbor, characteristic of coastal areas, can be seen.
The use of different brushstrokes is notable, as in some areas the brushstrokes are shorter and more material, generating different textures depending on the amount of pigment used. The color range is composed of earthy, warm colors. The work moves between Impressionism and Post-Impressionism, where artists no longer focus on precise details, but rather the way they treat light takes center stage. In this case, the pink color of the sky suggests dawn.
Signed in the lower right corner, which reads "L. Loni," a stamp appears on the back of the French frame workshop "Chiesa. Marchand d'estampes."
Finally, one cannot ignore the impressive gilt-finished wooden frame with exquisitely carved scrolls and ornamental flowers. It is undoubtedly a unique piece that will add elegance to any room and leave no one indifferent.
