Holly Gordon is one of the many treasures that Long Island has to offer, continuing more than a century’s old tradition of celebrating the natural beauty of the Island, that has attracted many artists especially the famous artist Arthur Dove and his wife Helen Torr. Gordon is a pioneer of “photo-liminalism”, a new visual language that humanizes technology and allows one to paint with the camera. Her works transcend photography into a more complex medium by positioning, overlapping, diffusing images into powerful and exciting compositions and subjective narratives.

Beth Lilly utilizes a variety of photographic styles in her conceptually driven projects that speculate on the interplay of choice, chance and circumstance. Her work has been collected by the High Museum of Art, New Mexico Museum of Art, The Ogden Museum of Southern Art, Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia, the Metropolitan Atlanta Arts Fund and many others.
