Original negative from 1971, no date of this printing but it is probably from the late 80's.
This is a rare image, as it was part of a portfolio of 8 images called the Beat Portfolio and many of those portfolios went to museums.
Larry Fink was born in Brooklyn in 1941 and in the 1960s, studied with Lisette Model, who encouraged him to become a professional photographer. Fink is best known for his series Social Graces, which explored social class in America in the 1970s by comparing two different worlds: that of urban New Yorkers at places like Studio 54 and that of rural, working class Pennsylvanians at events like birthday parties. His photographs have been published in Vanity Fair, W, GQ, The New York Times Magazine, and The New Yorker and he has produced several books. Fink has taught for over forty years, most recently as a tenured professor at Bard College. He has received two Guggeneheim (1976 and 1979) and two National Endowment for the Arts fellowships (1978 and 1976). Larry Fink was the receipient of ICP's 2015 Infinity Award for Art
In addition to ICP, his works are held in collections including the Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris; the Metropolitan Museum of Art; the Museum of Modern Art; and the San Francisco Museum of Art.

Larry Fink
Larry Fink is a professional photographer, best known for his black and white images of people at parties and in other social situations. He has had solo shows at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Musée de l’Elysée in Lausanne, Switzerland, among others. Along with two John Simon Guggenheim Fellowships in 1976 and 1979, two National Endowments for the Arts, Individual Photography Fellowships in 1978 and 1986, he was also awarded an honorary doctorate from the College for Creative Studies, College of Art and Design, Detroit in 2002.

The history of photography has always included the genre of the nude. In the last decade, there is a new perspective in considering the female form. Women photographers are able to capture the nude, not from a position of who holds the power in the relationship, to more of an examination of form without the whisper of sexuality. I have recently revisited my exploration of nudes, this time only from behind the camera. My revelation is that I perceive the subject as a whole, complex human being, giving me the gift of seeing them profoundly. The performance of photographer and subject is on equal footing as we both work within an area of trust and curiosity. What are we really revealing to the camera as one stands before it? Ultimately the experience connects us not only in our shared experience, but as two women, both bringing a level of acceptance and courage to our efforts. It is exhilarating to change the masculine history of photography into a feminine one.
