About the Item
From Orson Welles' 1941 masterpiece, this vintage large format 10” by 8” negative is over 80 years old and still in perfect condition, having only just been found in an old filing cabinet of the famous Movie Star News Archive. It is the single most important image from what is frequently cited as the greatest film ever made. The film topped the American Film Institute’s “100 Years….100 Movies” list in both 1998, as well as their updated list in 2007.
With this negative, you will own one of the most important pieces of Movie History. You will also receive two large format 40” by 32” fine art prints: the original black & white image and a colorized version. Both are printed on the finest museum-quality Hahnemuehle paper.
