About the Item

“The Queen” is a limited edition of 20. Printed on fine art paper, these limited-edition photographs are designed to preserve the beauty of the original scenes. Each piece is hand-numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity, ensuring its exclusivity and value. The 12x16 inch artwork is matted in white and framed in a 16x20 inch black wood frame. “The Queen” is part of Jack Hart’s “Flyers” series featuring portraits of butterflies and dragonflies. The Queen, a cousin of the Monarch, adds to the royalty in a garden. These powerful photographs offer a sense of scale and intimacy difficulty to realize in a natural environment. Jack Hart is a nature and wildlife photographer living in Texas. If something catches his eye and makes him smile, he takes a picture. His photographs stop time for a moment allowing the viewer to see what Hart enjoyed, but also to see the extra details he did not register when he pushed his camera’s button. Nature has a lot to offer, so Hart hopes you will enjoy his second look too.

Well-versed in modern high performance techniques, nowadays Jean-Pierre De Neef produces art photos for several internationally known photographers whose works can be found in galleries and fairs the world over. Twelve years ago Jean-Pierre De Neef’s encounter with François Bayle, art critic and curator of the works of various photographers for Brussels Art Edition, enabled him to pursue his passion in new fields. He was at the side of the Italian photographer Fabrizio La Torre (Rome 1921, Brussels 2014) in the last few years of his life, who entrusted him with detailed instructions for digitising his archives and explained to him the results he was seeking. Jean-Pierre De Neef with his refined technical skills, and François Bayle with his creativity made up a team which was perfectly equipped to stage a number of well-received exhibitions of the work of Fabrizo La Torre - Museum of Ixelles (Brussels 2011), Principality of Monaco, an excellent Retrospective,(2014) and Bangkok (2019), which involved the presentation of the photos taken in Thailand between 1956 to 1961.
