About the Item
"Azure Escape" is a striking coastal landscape photograph by French artist and photographer Natalya Mougenot, created in July 2025. Known for her poetic approach to everyday moments in nature, Natalya captures serene environments that evoke both emotion and stillness.
This photograph presents a vivid coastal scene where vibrant blues blend seamlessly with lush greenery. The rich, azure ocean extends infinitely, gently caressing the pristine shoreline. Verdant foliage in the foreground sways in the coastal breeze, offering a dynamic contrast of color and texture. Rolling hills frame the horizon, establishing depth and inviting the viewer into the landscape. In the distance, mist-shrouded mountains add a mystical presence and a sense of calm. The composition skillfully balances movement and stillness, light and shadow—transforming the view into a captivating visual symphony of nature’s untouched beauty.
Natalya shares:
“What drew me in was the light—how it moved across the water and lit up the greens. I didn’t plan this shot; I just paused and felt something shift. That’s what I want to share—a quiet moment that feels infinite.”
She adds:
“This place looks like a real escape from everyday life, and a perfect place to make a pause and recharge our body, soul, and mind. Essential.”
At the heart of her practice is authenticity. Her work is never staged or digitally manipulated. She explains, "I want viewers to pause and take a moment to connect with the feeling of the scene. It’s about experiencing the quiet stillness of the moment, whatever emotions it might evoke."
"Azure Escape" invites viewers to experience the power of observation—a reminder that nature’s grandeur is often found in silence, in light, and in fleeting moments.

About the Artist:
Originally from Pavlodar, Kazakhstan, and now based in Lyon, France, Natalya Mougenot has spent over two decades refining her artistic voice. Her multicultural background and personal experience inform her bold, expressive works, which have found homes in private collections around the world.
Natalya’s distinctive visual language blends Abstract Expressionism, Impressionism, Art Naïf, and Art Brut—resulting in paintings that are raw, instinctive, and emotionally resonant. Across her work, three values guide her: authenticity, sincerity, and honesty.
“Authenticity is everything,” she says. “People can always feel when something is real—or when it’s not. I want my work to be honest, to come from a place that’s true.”
In addition to painting, Natalya is also a passionate photographer. Her photographic work—also featured on this platform—mirrors her painterly sensibility: a poetic, observational approach that captures the quiet power of everyday life. For her, photography is both inspiration and a form of presence, often serving as visual sketches for future paintings or existing as standalone works.

Natalya Mougenot id a french artist living in France for more than 20 years. She was born and grew up in Kazakhstan, the country known for its spacious steppes. She arrived in France 2003. Since that moment she loves her adoptive country. She started painting in 2017 and used it as a therapeutic and emotional release during times of crisis. She incorporates this therapeutic approach in her artistic creative process till now. In her artistic practice she refers to the terms of metamodernism, which proposes to look at the world from the position of the inner adult. As an artist and as a woman she translates the experience of her personal search for balance based on harmony between mind, soul and body. This balance, in her opinion, is the pillar for the inner adult. Important components of her work are authenticity, soulfulness, sincerity, emotionality and honesty. She immerses the objects and the characters in the world where there is no falsity, rudeness, loneliness and indifference. She works rapidly and is constantly sensitive to the details. Her artistic process is a fine balance between a pre-meditation and spontantainty which helps her to create her expressive atmospheric artworks with a modern touch of impressionism by cultivating a naive art approach. Natalya manipulates different mediums without a preconceived plan since she is guided by what she wants to express at the moment by embracing the quality of my materials. She does not deny that her artworks reflect her intuitive approach and her love for vibrant colors which represent her who she is. Natalya says she is never able to create the same piece more than once. Sometimes she paints from photos or images. Sometimes she paints from memory. She tells to herself : "Just be yourself when you create ".

Cobalt - a minimalist sea horizon landscape by french Photographer JM Lenoir
By Jean- Michel Lenoir
Located in New York, NY
Elevation
42 x 70" Ed. of 10, framed
A resolutely minimalist and suggestive approach to get to the essential. Not trying to show a subject for what it is, but for what it expresses. This is my way of telling stories, of translating my sensibility”. J-M. Lenoir
A passion for nature from an early age led Lenoir to photography as a means to capture magical moments of nature and wildlife. Starting with wildlife and wide spaces, he developed his own vision of photography.
Landscape photography is an eternal quest for atmosphere where the light and the quest of beauty are key references, his aesthetic landmark. His photographic intention relies on his magnetic attraction for wide spaces combined with his quest of beautiful lights.
A way that inspires him and his instinct of freedom.
In photography, he is looking for simple pictures, which go straight to the subject core, with very few things in the frame.
Lenoir follows a suggestive approach: he does not try to show a subject as it is, but to share what it expresses. It is his way of telling stories and conveying his sensibility, like his recent work “Evanescence”.
Combining his passion for pictures with rugged landscapes, he organizes and guides photo tours with Photographes du Monde agency for seven years. From north of Europe (Scotland, Norway, Finland) to South america (Chile and Bolivia),his photographic world leads him into areas of wilderness from where he draws his main source of inspiration.
Lenoir is an ambassador for Fujifilm cameras and Cokin filters.
