David Yarrow
White Chicks - Girls in A Vintage Car in Telluride, Fine Art Photography, 2024

2024

About the Item

Black and White Image of two polar bears walking though the cold desert photographed by David Yarrow. All prints are limited edition. Available in multiple sizes. High-end framing on request. All prints are done and signed by the artist. The collector receives an additional certificate of authenticity from the gallery. David Yarrow’s White Chicks, photographed in the picturesque town of Telluride, Colorado, in 2024, offers a playful yet sophisticated visual narrative. Drawing inspiration from the symmetry and timelessness of Telluride’s iconic main street, Yarrow captures the town’s essence with a creative nod to the movie of the same name. The photograph juxtaposes the majestic mountains that loom over Telluride with the meticulously styled talent and balanced composition of the street below. Yarrow’s careful attention to spatial harmony ensures the image is not only visually stunning but also brimming with layers of storytelling. Set against the grand backdrop of Telluride’s snow-covered scenery, White Chicks embodies a sense of wit, elegance, and charm. The piece is a testament to Yarrow’s ability to merge humor with artistry while celebrating the beauty of an unchanging landscape. The collaboration of his dedicated crew and the talent involved brought this vision to life, ensuring its timeless appeal. David Yarrow is a British fine art photographer and one of the world's most spectacular and best-selling nature photographers. Visual storytelling is his craft, and large-format monochrome prints are his medium. Through elaborately staged settings, Yarrow conjures the magic of the great American history, from the Wild West to Route 66. In his wildlife photography, he captures the planet's beauty. Majestic lions, sleek panthers, and free-roaming buffalos populate his works, trumped only by the female bombshells Yarrow places beside them. While highlighting the untamed side of supermodels such as Cara Delevingne or Cindy Crawford, Yarrow portrays the wild beasts in the most human way possible. Todo Por La Revolucion
By Steve Schlackman
Located in New York, NY
This digital print is part of a limited edition set. Steve Schlackman is a lawyer by profession and a photographer by choice. Fascinated by the magical world of photography since his youth, he honed this skill over time, meticulously pouring over all things photographic, technical and creative alike, with unstoppable enthusiasm. Steve’s passion for taking photographs was ignited early on, during a study-abroad trip to Paris, where he immersed himself in all things art historical. Diligence, a strong trait Schlackman is known for, paid off, and after daily meanderings at the Louvre, a great love for art emerged along with hundreds of photographs. These pictures proved to be early tributes to the urban landscape, and although they didn’t amount to full-on series, a seed was planted. The omnipresent tension between the poor neighborhoods of the Cuban capital, as a result of political dictatorship, and the rich Afro-Cuban cultural roots of their inhabitants, whose wealth is represented by their music and feelings, is physically visible in Steve’s use of high contrast, a metaphoric touch on the subject of the light and darkness of the Afro-Cuban heritage. Although intentionally apolitical, the pictures speak volumes about the Cuban status quo and, appropriately, the eternal joy of living despite socio-political hardship. Play, in and of itself a mode to survive the harsh reality, represents another subject Steve is keen on capturing. Whether it is adults playing dominoes...
