Snow scene in Central Park in blue and white. White Doves over New York City Bethesda Fountain in the Snow. This is an image about the interaction between winged creatures.. .some are birds, and some are statues. The birds are in flight and the bronze with outstretched wings is poised to flight. Circling the bronze, the birds seem to be egging on the bronze statue to join them. Funk employs a blur effect of the birds combined with soft snow that envelops the fountain sculpture designed by Emma Stebbins in 1868. The whole image conjures up a sense of romanticism of a bygone era of old New York. This archival color photograph by fine art photographer Mitchell Funk is signed, numbered 3/15, dated and titled, and lower right recto. Other sizes are available, and the fine art photograph is unframed and printed later. Printed on Hahnemühle Fine Art paper

Mitchell Funk is a pioneer of color photography. In 1970, he participated in one of the first color photography shows at the Brooklyn Museum titled “Images en Couleur." In 1971, he was included in the visionary books Frontiers of Photography and Color (Life Library of Photography), both published by Time-Life. He has done more than 50 photography magazine covers, including covers for Newsweek and Life.
